Akampurira Sarah is a first-year student pursuing a Dual PhD in Business Administration at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) and a PhD in Applied Economics at the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
Background and Education
- She holds a Master of Business Administration from MUST, where she conducted research on “Service Quality and Customer Loyalty in Mobile Telecommunication Networks.”
- Her passion for entrepreneurship and economic development led her to win a MUST IUC UCoBS PhD scholarship. This scholarship aligns perfectly with her advocacy for entrepreneurship as a key driver of economic transformation in Uganda.
Research Focus
- Sarah’s research title is: “Stakeholder Collaboration and Entrepreneurship Education as a Mediator of Student Entrepreneurship Behavior in Uganda and Flemish Universities.”
- Her work explores the role of collaboration and entrepreneurship education in shaping student entrepreneurial behavior.
Visiting Doctoral Student at the University of Antwerp
- At the beginning of May, Sarah was warmly welcomed as a visiting doctoral student at the University of Antwerp.
- As part of her research journey, she will spend time in Antwerp until the end of June, engaging with scholars, attending seminars, and collaborating on research projects.
